Generous portions and very flavorful gelato! Must go!

While they attempt interesting choices, it is all some sort if weak sauce almost flavors over vanilla. The so called Gelato is just over priced ice cream with bad mouth feel, large ice crystals in it and makes Dairy Queen seem like some sort of major flavor sensation. Only reason to go is if your kids drag you in there.

Not sure what the negative reviews are all about, but I got a hefty bowl of ignore-your-loved-ones-until-its-finished gelato and my lactose intolerant brother got a 100% dairy free scoop that was so close in taste to it's fatty-delicious-dairy-filled counterpart that he almost placeboed himself into a stomach ache***. The gal working was gelato PhD status and gave me a streamlined run down that allowed me to once and for all wrap my head around the culinary difference between ice cream and gelato. I left feeling more gastronomically knowledgeable, with my taste buds singing, and a childish smile from ear to ear. Stay golden Gelato junction....stay golden... ***UPDATE: We confirmed that it was in fact dairy free...annnnd I am still losing sleep wondering what type of frozen dessert magic was responsible for creating such a divine taste with only fruit and water.

Stopped by for an ice cream on a hot summer afternoon and it didn't disappoint. We opted for ice cream over gelato as we prefer the former texture. There is a good range of flavors in both the ice cream and gelato and the people serving were very pleasant and engaging. There is seating both inside and out, but no sun umbrellas to keep the heat away.

Friday evening around 6PM seemed pretty quiet in the area, but we were ready for dessert as it was a warm night! We had the Palisade peach, panna cotta, and Mexican vanilla gelato flavors. The scoops were of generous sizes, and we thought all of them were delicious. The gelato itself was good, but it wasn't as smooth and texturally-pleasing as we've had elsewhere; however, we were still very happy we found this place. The cashier told us everything was made in-house. If you're walking around downtown GJ, be sure to stop here!. Reasonably priced.

yum! we came in from a hot ride and the fruit gelato really hit the spot. I had the peach and papaya and my wife had the avocado and mascarpone. really good stuff. I only wish I could eat more, it was so rich and creamy. mmmmmm.

Great gelato but very puzzling for coffee they charge extra for milk and when I asked for half and half it curdled was bad! So we refused the coffee. No apology or offer of free coffee. Horrible experience

It's so hard to find gelato and I was so excited to find this place but quickly disappointed on how bad the gelato was. A complete waste of money. $7 for a little cup of 3 scoops. Never coming back. Didn't like any of the flavors.

Palisade peach sorbet=perfection! Not to mention that the woman working there was an absolute peach herself and took the time to cut up some fresh peaches to top my sorbet! Are you kidding, loved her! My mother enjoyed a root beer float as well. We really enjoyed both the service and our sweet treats and would highly recommend Gelato Junction.

We had ice cream and the texture was terrible. It was ice-y and not at all creamy. Poor flavor. Very disappointing, especially for the price. We also has a very expensive truffle which was so-so. Called caramel truffles but didn't taste at all like caramel. Save your money. :-(

I had the pumpkin gelato and thought it was good. I had great service, but it was a slow day too. I'd come by here again.

Walked in and had the best service ever. She really does love making ice cream. We talked about how it was made and how I made ice cream when I used to work at cold stone. Tried about 12 flavored before making a selection. My friends got a banana split. Which looked amazing. Will try coming back as soon as possible.

We loved it rich chocolate, unusual flavors like ube, rich buttery not too sweet. Scopes are huge, my husband and two kids all had one scoop too many. Can't wait to come back and try the fresh Palisade peach.

We found ourselves in downtown Grand Junction on a Sunday afternoon. It was hot as heck and almost everything on Main Street was closed except for this amazing gelateria. We hit the jackpot with quality gelato- not ice cream! The employees (owners?) were very helpful and knowledgable. It was perfect!

Stopped by for a quick dessert for the kids. i advised the lady at the counter that my son was allergic to nuts. she told me that none of the gelato flavors had nuts. well something sure had nuts as my son started to vomit within ten minutes of eating their gelato. the low rating is because they were not sensitive to my sons allergy, if any of your children have allergies stay away from here, otherwise the gelato is decent (not awesome).

Hello amazing gelato! Huge portions! We saw this store front when trying to pick a place for lunch and knew we needed to visit before we left town! The staff is pretty friendly and definitely small town (if a local is in the store, be prepared to wait till their conversation is complete - not uncommon among a multitude of the businesses in the area) We tried a couple different flavors - i chose the coconut and the cafe - and received a gigantic 3 scoop - all stacked up - cup of yumminess! Definitely worth the stop and possible wait to get some great gelato!

Ice cream, Gelato, chocolates and much more. I stopped in after eating lunch looking for a quick mobile dessert on the way back to work. I was overwhelmed by the choices. I walked in wanting chocolate ice cream and left with just that. I could have easily been swayed if I had more time to decide. They have 12 or so different flavors of Gelato. 16 or so different flavors of ice cream and tons of different toppings and sprinkles. If ice cream is not enough, they also have great looking chocolates to fix that sweet tooth. Great local sweets shop if you are visiting from out of town or are just in need.

Pretty decent ice cream and gelato shop. Last time I was here I had the Peach and "Chocolate Chip" Gelato in a split scoop for their small size. The portion was very generous, yay! Although, the consistency of both was a little off, which was kind of a bummer. On my visit before, the gelato I had was pretty spot on. I'm hoping for a fluke in that particular day's make, or maybe the laser heat rays were changing the consistancy before my vailed eyes... I don't know. I'll come back again to give them another shot.

We were looking for some kind of pastry dessert after dinner and walked past this place. I'm so glad we went in. Their gelato is fantastic. They make it fresh there and use a lot of fresh local ingredients, like the palisade plum flavor I ended up going with. We were on a road trip at the time so odds are we won't be back there soon. I wish they were close to where we live! If you like gelato at all, I highly recommend this place. Update: We have gone back two more times now. Turns out we head this way more often than I expected. We still like it a lot.

I know it is the holiday season and it is cold here in Grand Junction but trust me. Gelato is good anytime. PLUS they have wonderful soups. The Black Bean and Chorizo is a favorite. The gelato is top notch and the owner will gladly make special batches. Just ask her, she has a ton of recipes :) We love to support small local businesses like this and really like this hidden gem. They also have a small selection of candies. Skip the "corporate, used to be small and local Enstroms" and head here for your sugar fix.

Fantastic! We were served by the owner who used generous scoops and lots of descriptions and "tastes". One of our party had a milk allergy and was very impressed with her long list of gelato options. These people know how to make authentic gelato. Intense flavors. Try the peach which is made with local product.

Worst ice cream i've ever had in my entire life. And i mean that literally. The ice cream here should be destroyed so that future civilians don't think we lived like fools. On top of that i asked for sprinkles on my fake ice cream and i got like literally 16 sprinkles. I threw out the ice cream cone after 2 licks. So if you must go here - i guess get the Gelato. Oh and the atmosphere is weak.

I'm not really a gelato fan, but my wife is so we stopped by this place while exploring downtown Grand Junction this summer. According to my wife, the gelato was fabulous. I didn't have any myself, so while I can't comment on the gelato, I CAN say that in addition to gelato, they sell these kickass choclate chip cookies! Plus, it's in a great location and the people who ran the place seemed really nice.
